Coffee should be black as Hell, strong as death and sweet as love. ~ Turkish proverb
"'And the customers didn't know?' Pardoe gasps. 'That is so totally evil!' 'Yeah, evil,' says Zhiang, eyes narrowing. 'You wonder how a guy like that can sleep at night.' 'On fourteen espressos a day it ain't easy.' I tell her. She turns from me in disgust. 'Take him away.'"
~ Single-Shot Espresso ~ by Hilary Wade
All the writers generously donated their work for this anthology in aid of the charity Action Against Allergy:
"'It's decaf,' I said, producing a packet of unsalted cashews to share with my two customers. The King seemed to accept my reply as adequate."
